Melbourne & Brisbane Venue Changes

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

If you’re going (or not now) you probably know about the venue change.

You probably know as well that you have to be 18+…Which is a bit odd since a lot of Hinder’s fan base are probably under 18…

But hey, you can get a full refund, which I suppose is some consolation.

Have fun if you’re going!

Better Than Me

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

I love this song. It’s really sweet and sad and everything else.
I’m sure lots of people can relate to it at one time or another.

I think you can do much better than me
After all the lies that I made you believe
Guilt kicks in and I start to see
The edge of the bed
Where your nightgown used to be
I told myself I won’t miss you
But I remember
What it feels like beside you
I really miss your hair in my face
And the way your innocence tastes
And I think you should know this
You deserve much better than me

While looking through your old box of notes
I found those pictures I took
That you were looking for
If there’s one memory I don’t want to lose
That time at the mall
You and me in the dressing room
I told myself I won’t miss you
But I remember
What it feels like beside you
I really miss your hair in my face
And the way your innocence tastes
And I think you should know this
You deserve much better than me

The bed I’m lying in is getting colder
Wish I never would’ve said it’s over
And I can’t pretend… I won’t think about you when I’m older
Cause we never really had our closure
This can’t be the end
I really miss your hair in my face
And the way your innocence tastes
And I think you should know this
You deserve much better than me
I really miss your hair in my face
And the way your innocence tastes
And I think you should know this
You deserve much better than me
(And I think you should know this)
(You deserve much better than me)

Damn. I really do love that song…

Ever wondered…?

Ever wondered who the picture is of on front of the Extreme Behaviour album?

Extreme Behaviour

It is this lovely lady:

Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl of Grey’s Anatomy.

However, the guys claim it’s Cody’s mother.
It’s up to you which you believe.

Random thoughts for today…

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

It hit me today that the guys from Hinder are actually really very good looking. I mean, normally in a band you have one obviously good looking person and then a few ordinary looking people and then sometimes you just get complete mingers but in Hinder they are all pretty hot. In my opinion anyway.

Hinder

Look at them, drool over them, print them out, burn them, go home, get stoned. Anything you like.

Hah! Spot the Hinder lyrics!

Winning is everything!

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

I do apologise for the sporadic posting. I hope you can forgive me.

Now that’s out of the way we can move on to better things. Such as Hinder having a new competition courtesy of ManiaTV!

If you win this smorgasbord of fun you will be taking 3 mates (Choose wisely) to see Hinder on their last 3 stops of their tour. Amazing or what?! The prize includes flights for you and your friends to Houston where you will be picked up in your very own Gibson tour bus and chauffeured to your stops. You’ll get to meet the band too (Damn straight!) and get a signed copy of ‘Extreme Behaviour’!

Also, if you’re not lucky enough to win but are lucky enough to become one of the 5 runners up, you will be winning a signed copy of ‘Extreme Behaviour’ too. (Okay, so it’s not meeting the band but it’s something, right?)

Now after reading that I’m sure you would love to enter. All you have to know is:

The name of all 5 band members and their roles in the band.
*cough* Which you can find on this blog*cough*

And

Where is Hinders home town?
See footnote above

Once you know those things waddle along to ManiaTV! and enter those things and contact details.

It’s also worth reading the Rules as they are obscenely finnickey with that sort of thing.

So, Good Luck. And let me know if you win!

About Hinder

This site is about Hinder; an American post-grunge band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that was formed in 2001 by drummer Cody Hanson, guitar player Joe "Blower" Garvey, and Singer Austin Winkler. They released their first EP titled "Far From Close" on and independent record label, Brickden Records. It sold about 5,000 copies. The three members then began working on new material in 2004 for their next independent release. These demos caught the attention of several major record labels.
